Weekly Forklift Training Updates: Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Flexi, and Ongoing VNA Courses
Last week was a busy and rewarding one at 4KS Forklift Training, with extensive training sessions held at both our Birmingham and Peterborough training centres. From novice courses to experience and conversion training, candidates across all skill levels showcased dedication and progress. Here’s a look at what made the week so memorable:
Birmingham Training Centre Highlights
Our Birmingham training centre was bustling with candidates, all eager to advance their forklift skills:
Counterbalance and Reach Truck Successes with Momentum Recruitment & Training
We hosted a motivated group of 10 candidates from Momentum Recruitment & Training, a back-to-employment agency. They completed both their Counterbalance and Reach Truck Novice courses, building essential skills to open up new career pathways. It’s rewarding to see new candidates progressing toward employment with confidence and capability.
Global Domestic Appliance Brand:
We were thrilled to welcome three candidates from a globally recognised appliance brand, present in over 140 countries. They successfully completed their Counterbalance Experience and Reach Truck conversion training, expressing their satisfaction with our high-quality instruction and support. Ongoing Onsite VNA Training:
Our 6-week Onsite VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) training is still in progress for one of Europe’s largest commercial vehicle parts distributors. Working in facilities where heights reach up to 16 meters, safety and precision remain at the core of this intensive training. We look forward to watching these candidates continue to sharpen their skills under real-world conditions.
Catering & Packaging Distributor:
This week, we conducted onsite Flexi Experience, Counterbalance, and Reach Truck Novice courses for a prominent distributor of catering products and packaging to the foodservice and hospitality industries. Their team was enthusiastic about acquiring the skills necessary to operate safely and efficiently within their workplace.
Bendi Training Growth:
Bendi/ Flexi training continues to gain traction! We welcomed a candidate from a Wolverhampton-based company specialising in managed print and marketing solutions, alongside another private candidate for a Bendi conversion course. Both candidates displayed exceptional progress, passing with flying colours—a testament to their hard work and our specialised instruction.
Private Individuals:
In addition to our group bookings, we trained several private candidates who successfully completed their AITT Accredited Counterbalance & Reach Truck combined courses. We’re always excited to see individual candidates striving for excellence in forklift operation.
Peterborough Centre Highlights
The activity extended to our Peterborough centre, with a mix of group and private candidates tackling various courses:
Advanced Manufacturing Specialists:
Another three candidates from a heat treatment and surface engineering company—leaders in advanced manufacturing for sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, and Biomedical—came in for Counterbalance training. Olly, one of our highly regarded instructors, expertly led the session. The company’s appreciation for Olly’s training skills has only grown, highlighting his dedication to our candidates’ success.
Private Candidates and Newcomers:
We also had a candidate from a prominent Peterborough window supplier joining us for a Counterbalance Novice course. Alongside him, other private candidates undertook their own RTITB accredited Counterbalance training sessions, further developing their practical skills and knowledge on the Counterbalance forklift.
