At 4KS Forklift Training, we’re committed to delivering high-quality training across a variety of material handling equipment. Here’s what happened at our Birmingham and Peterborough centres this past week:
We were pleased to host candidates from Seetec Pluss, who successfully completed their Counterbalance and Reach Truck training. The group demonstrated great enthusiasm and focus, ensuring they met the required standards for certification. These skills will prove invaluable as they enter the workforce, equipped with the confidence and knowledge to handle forklifts safely.
Two candidates from a prominent construction company in Birmingham joined us for their Scissor Lift experience course. The course provided them with the practical skills needed to safely operate this essential equipment, crucial for the challenging environments they work in daily.
We also delivered a comprehensive Scissor Lift Novice course to three candidates from one of Europe’s largest footwear retailers. The onsite training allowed us to tailor the experience to their specific work environment, ensuring they’re fully prepared for the demands of their roles.
Alongside our company clients, we welcomed several private individuals to complete their Counterbalance, Reach Truck, and PPT training. Our instructors worked closely with each candidate, helping them gain the skills needed to operate these vehicles with confidence and competence.
Peterborough also saw a busy week of training with diverse courses for both companies and private candidates:
A group from a major Cash and Carry wholesaler in Peterborough successfully completed their Counterbalance and Reach Truck Novice courses as well as candidates from a medical equipment supplier coming in for their Reach Conversion course. With the warehouse environment posing unique challenges, our team ensured they left fully prepared for the job.
We also had a number of private candidates, like Darren Jason—whose testimonial video we shared last week—complete their Counterbalance and Reach Truck training. In addition, others returned to refresh their skills, continuing their journey towards mastery.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 days’ Reach and Counterbalance course. Olly and the team are very professional, ensuring all trainees are confident and capable of doing each task before moving onto the next. Thank you for this!

We kicked off our highly anticipated six-week Onsite VNA Training for one of Europe’s largest commercial vehicle parts distributors. The facility we’re working in has a height of 16 meters with loads weighing up to 900kg, requiring precise and thorough training to ensure safety and efficiency at such heights. This training is helping operators build confidence, especially when handling large loads in very narrow aisles.
